Bopwalk is a small app made by one person. These terms are the deal between you and me when you use it. Using Bopwalk means you accept them.
Using Bopwalk
Bopwalk is for listening along with people you are actually walking with. Do not use it to break the law, to harass anyone, to hand out audio you have no right to share, or to attack the service (flooding it, scraping it, hunting for holes in the API). Anyone holding a walk code can join that walk, so treat a code like a door key.
Your Content
You keep everything you upload. By uploading, you confirm you have the right to play that audio to the people on your walk, and you give me the narrow permission needed to store it and stream it to that walk while it runs. Uploads are not screened before they play. If something in a walk is illegal, tell me and I will remove it.
Third-Party Audio
Podcasts, YouTube videos, and other links play from their own sources under their own rules. YouTube playback happens inside YouTube’s embedded player and is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google’s privacy policy. Spotify music is not supported. Bopwalk does not host, license, or endorse any third-party content.
Bopwalk Plus
Bopwalk Plus costs $5.99 per month and lifts the 10 walker cap on the walks you host. It is billed by Apple or Google through your store account and renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel in the App Store or Google Play, not here. Refunds are handled by whichever store charged you, under that store’s policy. Any price change is announced in the app before it takes effect.
Availability
Bopwalk is provided as is, with no promise that it will be online, perfectly in sync, or free of bugs. Walks and their uploads are deleted automatically, so never treat Bopwalk as storage for something you want to keep. Features may change or go away. To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and my total liability is limited to what you paid me in the previous 12 months (nothing at all, if you never bought Plus). None of this removes rights you have under the consumer law where you live.
Ending Things
Stop using Bopwalk whenever you like, and delete the app to take your device ID with you. I can cut off access that is being used to break these terms.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new version. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
